1166 Federal Credit Union (1166 FCU) is pleased to serve as a sponsor of the RJ Amandeo Memorial Golf Outing as part of Williamstown High School Golf Team’s “Scramble for a Cure” Golf Tournament.
In 2016, Williamstown, New Jersey, lost RJ Amendeo, a beloved resident and passionate community contributor, to cancer. As the father of two dedicated students within the Williamstown school district, including a son who captained the high school golf team, RJ’s family knew he would want his legacy of community involvement to live on.
For the past eight years, the RJ Amandeo Memorial Golf Outing has served as a celebration of RJ’s life and an opportunity to raise money for programs he would have loved. With the help of the local community, the event has raised over $35,000 for the RJ Amandeo Golf Leadership Scholarship and the RJ Amandeo Memorial Scholarship, helping students who have experienced loss due to cancer. Additionally, funds are donated to the American Cancer Society and the WHS golf program.
This year, the event will occur on May 10th at White Oaks Golf Course. Visit the RJ Amandeo Memorial Golf Outing Website to learn more about the cause, player registration, dinner attendance, sponsorship, and auction donations.
